Flash Upgrading Ascend Max 6000

Before starting get the flash file ready on your tftp server and be sure that that server is accessable by the NAS's ip.

Telnet to the Ascend

authenticate

press control - d to bring up the advanced menu

Choose P for password

Choose Full access Profile from the list that is displayed

enter enable password

press control - d again to bring up the advanced menu again (with our new access rights)

Choose Diagnostics. A command prompt will be displayed '>'

At the command prompt type:

tloadcode TftpServerIP filename
eg tloadcode ***.***.***.*** aixcb.m60

Wait for the transfer to finnish.
Remove the pri's from the box so that stop records are created for the online users.

At the command prompt type:

reset

and wait for the NAS to reboot.

Replace the PRI's.

Done.ÿ
